Why We’re Building Prime CyberSafe for Seniors
My name is Dan Harley II, founder of PrimeConcepts. I’ve spent nearly five decades working with technology and helping individuals, families and businesses navigate the digital world. My first computer was an Apple II, serial number 528.
This mission became personal when scammers made two attempts on my mother’s bank account in a single week, and she nearly lost a large amount of her savings. Many other attempts against us were blocked, and we did not track every one.
People shouldn’t have to be technology experts to protect themselves online, or face sophisticated scammers alone. That’s why we’re building Prime CyberSafe for Seniors: not simply to sell security software, but to create an affordable, practical service that helps protect people like my mother, and yours.

The Beta Team That Turns Beta Testing Upside Down
Most beta teams are made up of tech experts hunting for bugs. Ours is the opposite. We’re looking for people who aren’t comfortable with technology, people who’ve been confused by a pop-up, worried about a strange phone call, or felt left behind by “just click here.” You’re not here to impress anyone. You’re here to tell us the truth. If you find something confusing, that’s a win, because it shows us exactly what to fix.
You Don’t Have to Be a Technology Expert. In Fact, We’d Prefer You Weren’t!
Most tech companies recruit programmers and security specialists to test their products. We’re doing something different. Our Beta Team is made up mainly of everyday seniors who aren’t necessarily comfortable with technology.
We need people who can tell us whether our services are easy to understand, simple to use, affordable and helpful. If our services don’t work for everyday seniors, they don’t work. Period.

Do I need to know anything about computers?
Nope. In fact, the less you know, the more helpful you’ll be. We want to see our service through the eyes of everyday people, not experts.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Joining the Beta Team is free, and you’re never obligated to buy anything. If we ever offer an optional service later, we’ll explain it plainly and only go ahead with your OK.
Will anyone need to get into my computer?
Only if a test calls for it, and never without asking you first. We’ll tell you what we’d like to do and why, and you can always say no. You stay in charge of your devices and accounts.
What if I don’t understand something?
Tell us! “I don’t understand this” is one of the most useful things you can say. It’s why the Beta Team exists.
Can my family join in?
Yes. Children, grandchildren and caregivers are welcome to share concerns and ideas. We’re building this for seniors and the people who look out for them.
Can PCSS stop every scam?
No service can stop every scam. Our goal is to make you much harder to fool, with protection that runs in the background, simple lessons and a friendly person to ask.
Where is PCSS available?
We’re planning remote help anywhere in the U.S., and in-home help may be offered in some communities. We’ll share more as the program grows.
When does PCSS launch?
When it’s ready, and not before. Your feedback helps us decide when that is.
