Tech Talk Episode #94 - Comparing Paid Traffic To Free Traffic
This is Episode #94 of Tech Talk with Dan Harley. I talk about a recent marketing campaign when I ran using both paid and free traffic strategies. How does one compare to the other. The good and bad of either strategies.

Marketing is a way of promoting a business, product, or services to induce the target market. If you are in a business organization, you might maximize your online visibility with efficiency as much as possible. The best way of marketing your business, products, or services in today’s generation is to post it online. There are two ways of selling your business online, that is paid and free traffic. Let us differentiate the advantages and disadvantages of the free website traffic and the paid website traffic.  

Website traffic is the data of the number of people visiting the site and the purchasing services or products being offered. There are two kinds of website traffic that are: free traffic and paid traffic. Free traffic is mostly through search engines and social media. Video marketing and article are also some examples of free traffic.

On the other hand, paid traffic involves payment for the site to be obtained. There are three ways an advertiser pays; Cost per click, spend every time someone clicks on the ad, Cost per Mille, pay every 1000 views you get, and Flat rate, when the advertiser set and amount regardless of the clicks.

The advantages of free traffic are that it is open and less demanding, but its disadvantage is that its success is not guaranteed. The benefits of paid traffic are that’s it will not take long to see the results and its easy to reach your target market, but it can be costly.

Summarize

Marketing online is an essential requirement when you are promoting your business to your target market. Online advertising may be free of charge, or you pay for it. It is a choice to be made, and considering what’s best for the business is essential. Budget is critical for making a choice. A good strategy involves a good vision of the return of investment in marketing.
